Tiffany Dining Room Lighting: Colorful & Classic!

Tiffany lighting, crafted from bound pieces of colored glass, adds vibrant color and sparkle to any room. Named for American artist Louis Comfort Tiffany, who famously designed stained glass windows, mosaics, and lamps, Tiffany lighting creates a particularly festive atmosphere in the dining room.

Tiffany style light fixtures have been around since the late 1800s, and are not going away any time soon! Add one to your dining room, and you'll make a timeless statement. Whether you're looking for an instant boost of style or a dramatic room makeover, you're sure to find Tiffany lighting that will enhance your dining room wonderfully. Here are a few suggestions:

  • Tiffany Lamps. Lamps are an ever-popular way to change up the look of a room, no re-wiring required! In the dining room, consider using a pair of Tiffany style table lamps on your buffet table for an upscale look. If you're looking to brighten up a corner or add interest to a bare wall, consider a Tiffany floor lamp/ torchiere.
  • Tiffany Chandeliers. These designs include multiple "arms" and colorful glass shades designed in Tiffany style. For a formal look in your dining room, choose one with upward-facing lights. For more direct lighting (and a less formal look), choose a downlight version.
  • Tiffany Bowl Pendants. These have become immensely popular in dining room settings, and work particularly well in smaller dining rooms, or dining areas that open up to other areas of the home (like the kitchen).

While traditional styles are widely available, non-traditional versions are rising in popularity. Look for new, natural materials like shells or natural stone. We love the "Pomez" designs from Quoizel, made from genuine agate stone.
